Trained in Horticulture with Cardiff Council Parks department before undertaking National Diploma in Arboriculture at Merrist Wood Agricultural College , finishing in 1981.
As well as working for 2 years in Denmark and Sweden from 1981-1984, Gareth worked for Cardiff Council Parks department as Foreman with the tree gang before starting up Cardiff Treescapes in 1984.
Since that time Gareth has attended numerous workshops and seminars organised by the Arboriculture Association and International Arboriculture Association on Evaluating Tree hazards and Tree health, undertaking risk assessments for amenity treas.
He has recently studied for a Science degree specialising in biology and plant health with the Open University.

Trained in Horticulture with Hilliers' nurseries of Romsey until undertaking a Diploma in Arboriculture at Merrist Wood Agricultural College .
Worked in London, Hampshire and Switzerland before teaming up with Gareth to start up Cardiff Treescapes after a similar spell at Cardiff Council Parks department.
He has attended numerous related workshops and seminars.
Tom has studied with the Open University, focusing on courses concerned with environmental issues and attained a Diploma in Geography and Environment in 1998.
